The Union for the Mediterranean's Ministerial Water Meeting will be held during the Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum in Rome.

As women and men of peace and dialogue, committed to building a Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum as a place of sharing and encounter, we want to express our utmost concern for the situation of war and instability affecting the region, hoping for an end to the use of force as soon as possible and for diplomatic channels to be pursued.

In light of the current situation, the Union for the Mediterranean has decided to postpone the Ministerial Meeting on Water, originally scheduled for March 25 in Rome, reconvening it during the Euro-Mediterranean Forum, which will be held during the week of September 29 to October 2.

This decision will place an even greater responsibility on the Forum, its organizers, and its participants to discuss cooperation, innovation, the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and joint investments in a sector like water, capable of dividing the banks of a river or a sea but also of uniting and bringing together the most distant civilizations.
The Mediterranean over the past centuries has been a route of encounters and we want this will be again in Rome at the Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum.
